ALABAMA MINERAL & LAPIDARY SOCIETY IN A NUTSHELL The Alabama Mineral and Lapidary Society is a non-profit organization for people interested in geology, mineralogy, paleontology and lapidary arts. Meetings are the second Friday of each month (except June) at 6:30 PM.  Meetings are approximately two hours.  Visitors are welcome, we love for kids to join us! Our meeting location is the Emmett O’Neal Library in Mountain Brook.  Click here for directions. We always have food at our meetings, so don’t eat before you come! Door prizes at every meeting. Club sponsored field trips & joint trips with other clubs. Club sponsored Rock and Mineral Show the first weekend in June at Tannehill State Park. Scholarship program for Lapidary Schools. Learn to cut and polish with club owned rock saws and cabbing equipment.
