Inbound Marketing is the process of promoting your company, product, club or events to an specific audience. Creating a website that delivers specific information or products is the goal of all Inbound Marketing Strategies.  The main means of promotion is through blogs, podcasts, video, eBooks, newsletters, whitepapers, SEO, physical products, social media marketing, and other forms of content marketing. The Goal of any Inbound Marketing Strategy is to attract customers through the different stages of their purchase, often referred to as a “Sales Funnel”.  In contrast, paid for advertising, cold-calling, direct paper mail, radio, TV advertisements, sales flyers, email spam lists, telemarketing and traditional advertising are considered “outbound marketing”.

“Inbound” refers to marketing activities that bring visitors in, rather than marketers having to go out to get prospects’ attention. Inbound Marketing earns the attention of customers by making the company easy to be found, via search engines and social media groups. Customer are drawn to the website by producing content and information that is of interest to your potential customers.

An important facet of Inbound Marketing is providing the customer with feedback channels to the company for builing a trusting relationships as well as for consultations and sales. This may be a phone number, a feedback form, live chat or an automatic free callback. Most companies are now realizing that their technical support documentation, is authoritative and considered trustworthy content your customers want. CONVERT

Once you’ve attracted new visitors, the next step is to convert some of you visitors into revenue to help you offset your costs and perhaps even make some money.  You will need their contact information in order to send them offers of products, services or solutions they my find helpful to their needs. At the very least, you will need their email addresses.

Contact Information is Inbound Marketing Currency. In order for your visitors to offer up that currency, willingly, you will need to offer them something in return. That ‘payment’ comes in the form of offers, like eBooks, whitepapers, or tip sheets – whatever information would be interesting and valuable to your prospects.

You can convert visitors into leads by using what’s called a Sales Funnel Conversion Process. Website components like calls-to-action and landing pages can entice these visitors. You can get more leads by offering good content and helpful products to your websites visitors.

CLOSE

In the Close stage, tools like email and a CRM can be used to help sell to the right leads at the right time. Inbound Marketing is all about providing remarkable content to your users. Whether your traffic is generated by visitors, leads, or existing customers The Content is the real star of any website.

Inbound Marketing companies continue to delight and engage their customer base, turning them into happy promoters of the products and services they love. Keeping in touch with your customers via a monthly newsletter is cost effective and can help you generate business.
