Topeka Gem & Mineral Society (TGMS)

Topeka Gem & Mineral Society Organized in Topeka, Kansas on December 3, 1948 TGMS Annual Rock & Mineral Show Meetings Fourth Friday of each month, September through May (except December) unless notified of changes. We meet in Room 138 of Stoffer Science Hall on the Washburn University campus. Calendar The Purpose of the Topeka Gem & Mineral Society shall be exclusively educational and scientific: to promote interest in geology and the lapidary arts to encourage the collection and display of rocks, gems and minerals to encourage field trips and excursions of a geological, mineralogical or lapidary nature to encourage greater public interest and education in gems and minerals, cooperating with the established institutions in such matters.

WICHITA PALEONTOLOGICAL SOCIETY PURPOSE OF SOCIETY The Wichita Paleontological Society was founded in 1996 for the purpose of promoting interest and knowledge of the science of paleontology. It is intended that the society be a network for the exchange of information between professionals and serious amatuers in the field. SOCIETY ACTIVITIES Meetings are held once a month and include a presentation related to paleontology. There are numerous field trips and workshops each year. Special programs are arranged periodically. Most activities are open to all but we encourage you to become a member.
