The Billings Gem and Mineral Club Objective is sharing of enjoyment and education of all earth science related activities. The Bozeman Gem and Mineral Club, organized in 1939, is the oldest “rock club” in Montana. Club members have a wide range of interests including: fossils mineral specimens faceting jewelry design gemology geology and lapidary arts Through the various Club programs, affiliations, and activities, we have fun, improve our knowledge and skills, and educate our youth and the public. We welcome you to join us in pursuing this great, wholesome family hobby.

The Bitterroot Gem and Mineral Society is a non-profit organization. Our purpose is to promote interest and education in various Earth sciences, including geology, mineralogy, paleontology, and the lapidary and faceting arts. We also support promoting and ensuring the right of amateur hobby collecting, recreational rock hunting, and the use of public and private lands for educational and recreational purposes related to the earth sciences. We enjoy hunting for specimens with friends who share our interests and have fun doing so. We invite anyone interested to check us out.

At the monthly meeting: Find other people interested in gems and minerals Valuable educational programs Get expert help with gem and mineral identification Wire wrapping classes Field trips in our area Mineral collecting done right HMS sponsors many activities, including the annual mineral show. NOTES Monthly meetings are held at the Neighborhood Center, 200 Cruse Avenue on the third Thursday of the month. The next meeting will be held Thursday, August 18th.
