We are a mineral club whose main focus is on Orange County, and the surrounding area’s minerals. Our goal is to share our knowledge and teach people about the history of the mines and mineralogy of Orange County. We also collect in in other various places throughout New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, and Connecticut.

Rochester Lapidary Society The Rochester Lapidary Society (Rochester, New York) is a non-profit organization devoted to the collecting and study of minerals, gemstones, geology, paleontology and the lapidary arts (stone cutting, stone carving, polishing, faceting, and jewelry making), as well as the love and deep appreciation of the great outdoors. An annual show is held each year, in October, to promote the educational philosophy of our organization. The summer months are devoted to club-sponsored field trips. Monthly meetings are held on the first Thursday of each month from September through June from 7:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. There are also monthly and weekly workshops. This also includes our award winning newsletter “The RockCollector” which you can only get by becoming a member of the club.
