Koyukuk River, South Fork Yukon-Koyukuk, AK

“Koyukuk River, South Fork” is a prospect deposit site in Alaska, The United States. It is a deposit, not considered to be of world-class significance.1

Gold deposits are documented at “Koyukuk River, South Fork.” Gold is present at a grade sufficient to have a strong effect on the economics of an excavation project. It may even be viable as the only commodity mined.

At the time this deposit was surveyed, some surface trenching, adits, shafts, drill holes, geophysics, geochemistry, or geological mapping was conducted to estimate grade and tonnage of the deposit. A placer operation is at this site or proposed for it.
