Welcome to Delaware Mineralogical Society DMS! We are a non-profit organization dedicated to the promotion and education of mineralogy, paleontology and the lapidary arts.
We have monthly meetings at the Delaware Museum of Natural History, north of Wilmington, Delaware or at Greenbank Mill at Price’s Corner. We have speakers and programs that promote the goals of the society at each meeting. We conduct several field trips a year to fossil and mineral localities in the tri-state area and further afield. Many of our DMS members belong to other clubs in the tri-state area, creating close ties and providing opportunities for some co-sponsored field trips a year. Please visit our Field Trip page for information on upcoming field trips, as well as pictures and field reports from past trips. DMS is proud to announce our affiliation with the American Federation of Mineralogical Societies (AFMS) and the Eastern Federation of Mineralogical and Lapidary Societies (EFMLS). We also participate in the ‘Future Rockhounds of America’ Program through the AFMS. Click on coupon to print: We are about earth-science education…and Fun!
